Fairy Shell Top in Pink

Breathable Top/Dress Perfect for the summer.
The dress is worked with light weight yarn in pink. I have used fairy shell stitch for bottom part of the dress. IT can be made a dress or top with pants by just adding the fairy shell stitch rows.

The shoulder straps are not fixed in back for this. I have just tied it as a knot in the back for a change. But I loved this method now than the way I always do.

Summer Top In Yellow and Green

These are the right colors to mark the Spring. Yellow and Green. These Colors just brights up everyone. Though it is sleeveless this too can be used through out the year by layering it up with other tops during the winter season. The Dress is worked with shell scallop stitch most of the way with some fpdc and bpdc around the waist area. It is a simple Dress to work with But a Beautiful dress to wear. The Top has 2 Button Closures in the Front.

I create a lot these days that I rarely get time to update everything here these days. So most of the time I am making so many updates together but just change the date for everything in post settings to make it show up in different dates

Crochet & Knit Top

This top is worked with Crochet & Knitting.
The Knitting bodice gives it a lot of stretch and room to grow. So this can be used for longer period.

This is worked as one piece. It is crocheted from Neck to Arm hole opening, Rest knitted. The bottom edge is ribbed to give a better finishing. The antique finish buttons give it a Vintage look. This is my first design combining crochet & knitting. I loved it. I have also made this Knitted beanie to match with it.

This is for sale in my  store @ http://www.etsy.com/listing/87545585/crochet-knit-top

Layering Top

I started with this top a while ago. But after completing the yoke just kept away. I was following the pattern from coats and clark fancy vintage top. But by mistake I was working with hook E instead of
H all the way for yoke. I noticed it only when I was supposed to join the armholes, and another mistake I did was I did not check the gauge in the pattern. So at this point I just gave up doing it for some time. Last day I took it back added few more extra rows for the yoke and completed the pattern to fit for me. If you would like to give a try on this top check out the pattern @fancy vintage top.

Make sure not to make mistakes like me. :)

My New Top

Me at Smoky Mountains in my new top...
Attaching sleeves

Sleeves attached and ready to add ruffled neckline

Ruffle created for neck line
So here is one more creation for me.. It was a quick sew I did on Friday night. I bought this knit fabric from Hancock fabrics for jut $3/yd.. It was a good deal  I think..

I took the measurement from a t-shirt that fits good for me to make this one.. I was happy the way it came out.. Ruffle neckline just helped me get out of the trouble in making a perfect neckline.
Check the tutorial for the same @ http://www.makeit-loveit.com/2009/10/womens-shirt.html

Ruffle top

I have been thinking of making something for me from some time. Finally came up with this top.. I got this fabric from Jo-ann.. I got it for a good deal.. I think it was just $4/yd...

I followed the instructions from http://sewmamasew.com/blog2/2009/04/spring-sewing-spring-ruffle-top-tutorial/ ..  The tutorial is pretty much  very clear and easy to follow... Overall I am not much impressed with this pattern..
